"We have a package of specific proposals to adapt our equipment to the needs of the belt and to speed up oil production in the area," he said.
The oil rigs factory, located in the state of Monagas, northeastern Venezuela, expects to reach full production by 2015, with equipment ranging from 750 HP to 3,000 HP.
Pdvsa has projected that these drills will be used in projects carried out by the state-run oil company in Cuba and Ecuador, Manrique added.
